As Miami Realtors® demand justice and renewed integrity for MLS Listings, Buying Buddy IDX CRM launches with a focus on data integrity.

It is no secret that the Miami real estate industry has recently been plagued with controversy. Some rogue agents have compromised MLS listings. This has lead to incorrect data, years of missing property history, and unethically re-listed properties. Now, Miami Realtors are demanding integrity from the data and all those that interact with it!

The Jills and Tomlinson

By now, everyone knows the story of the Jills. It is a tale plagued with confusion, extortion, and courtroom drama. The case coverage can be found here.

The bottom line? It all boils down to Integrity.

Miami Realtors Respond

So now, Realtors across South Florida have been left wondering about the MLS data integrity. It turns out MLS data had been manipulated. Listings had been taken down right before they expired and then were re-listed. This kept listings “fresh”, rather than “expiring” so that other agents could reach out to homeowners for re-listings. It also kept listings looking new, deleted data about if the properties had been pending, and erased more than 65 years worth of property information.

It turns out, MLS Data can be manipulated in a number of ways. But Miami Realtors have had enough and are ready to respond. Now, industry conversation is heating up about how integrity can be restored to MLS listings.

Buying Buddy IDX CRM

In the midst of the controversy, Buying Buddy® IDX CRM is launching in Miami. The service, which lists Miami MLS properties on Realtors’ websites, also manages leads from the web, Zillow, Facebook, Realtor.com, and other forms of social media. Paul Eastwood, Owner of Buying Buddy IDX CRM, applauded Miami Realtors demanding answers and seeking data integrity.

“They’re doing the right thing. It’s in the best interest of buyers, sellers, and the industry to keep MLS data accurate. They are trying to protect clients and the integrity of their profession and we applaud them. We want to partner with them.” – Paul Eastwood, Buying Buddy IDX CRM.

So how does Eastwood plan to partner with Miami Realtors to accomplish this?

When asked what that looked like, Eastwood explained further, “Miami Realtors are looking to create more integrity in the way MLS information is reported, while we ensure the integrity of the way it is shared.”

He further explained how MLS data was:

Accurate: Buying Buddy updates on the hour, displaying only the most current MLS data.

Secure: Buying Buddy doesn’t give agents’ or lead information to any third parties. All data is also delivered via SSL (i.e. Https).

Reliable: Buying Buddy ensures that MLS listings are always displayed on Realtors’ websites, with no crashes or missing data.

While Miami agents rally to bring to bring integrity to back to the way MLS data is recorded, Buying Buddy IDX CRM is looking to stand with them.
